Wii for all
The Winchelsea Lions Club recently donated a novel gift to the residents at Hesse Rural Health's Chelsea Lodge - a Nintendo Wii games console. With wireless remote controls that feature movement sensors, the Wii includes games such as bowling, tennis, golf, and baseball. The games are easy to learn, and can be played either standing up or sitting down, and require fairly natural movements that simulate the real thing.
Hesse Rural Health Director of Nursing, Ann Davis, thanked the Lions Club for the generous support. The Wii games will be incorporated into the current activity program at Chelsea Lodge. The Wii will also be available for shared activity between generations when children and grandchildren visit.
